Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
208 PM MDT Sun Jun 30 2024

.DISCUSSION...The rest of this afternoon will be hot across most
of northeastern WY into western SD with temperatures reaching into
the low to mid 90s. RHs in some stations in Campbell County have
dipped below 20%. High based thunderstorms have developed across
central WY and will move into northeastern WY as the afternoon and
evening progresses. These storms will be capable of strong and
erratic winds and given the dry air at the surface, it`s unlikely
that much precipitation (if any) will reach the ground in these
storms.

RH recovery overnight will be excellent with max RHs ranging from
85 to 95% over the area. Storms are possible again on Monday, with
scattered severe storms capable of large hail and strong, erratic
winds possible.

Unsettled weather will continue through the week with
near daily chances for storms. Temperatures will moderate with
highs in the 70s to 80s.
