...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MST THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with high temperatures of
  104-110 expected. Temperatures of up to 112 in areas of Western
  Pima County expected. Major Heat Risk.

* WHERE...South Central Pinal County, Tohono O`odham Nation, Tucson
  Metro Area, and Western Pima County.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When
possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible
and drink plenty of water.
