.DISCUSSION...
Light downslope winds early this morning will become upslope and
northwesterly late this morning. Winds late this morning through the
early evening will be 8 to 12 mph with a few afternoon gusts to
around 20 mph. Minimum relative humidity will drop to around 5 percent
this afternoon.
A dry weather system is expected to cross the region this weekend
and bring increased southwest to west winds and at least near critical
fire weather conditions each day. The strongest winds are most likely
Sunday with potentially critical fire weather conditions amid 20-25 mph
winds and 40-45 mph gusts. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued from late
Sunday morning through early Sunday evening. Another round of winds
and near to critical fire weather is likely on Monday.
