Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Tulsa OK
356 AM CST Fri Feb 28 2025

...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON FOR MUCH OF
EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS...

Unseasonably warm temperatures today combined with afternoon
humidity values falling to near or below 20 percent and breezy
southwest winds will result in an elevated fire weather danger
this afternoon across much of eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas. This combination of breezy winds, warm temperatures, and
very low humidity values will lead to enhanced grassland fire
spread rates.

Avoid outdoor activities that could inadvertently start a fire, and
dispose of cigarettes properly. Report any wildfires to local
officials.
