AREA...Eastern Oklahoma; Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing. FIRE WEATHER DANGER. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... South winds will gust 25 to 35 mph, with an occasional gust to 40 mph possible thru the afternoon. The gusty winds will raise fire weather concerns, though the overall threat should remain limited by the green vegetative state and higher humidity. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. FRIDAY...Severe Thunderstorm...High Wind...Heavy Rain Potential. SATURDAY...Thunderstorm...Heavy Rain Potential. SUNDAY...Thunderstorm...High Wind...Heavy Rain Potential. MONDAY...No Hazards. TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... An unsettled weather pattern is expected to set up over the next few days. A frontal boundary will drop down into the region Friday and will provide a focus for an initial round of strong to severe storms and locally heavy rainfall Friday night over northeast Oklahoma. Additional rounds of strong to severe storms and heavy rainfall are expected thru Saturday across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas as the frontal boundary moves slowly south and east. An upper disturbance will move into the southern Plains Saturday night into Sunday, bringing an additional round of strong to severe storms and heavy rainfall. Both flash flooding and main-stem river flooding is likely to become an issue over the weekend.
