This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

AREA...Northwest of Interstate 44 in Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Portions of Northeast Oklahoma and West-Central Arkansas.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Slightly warmer temperatures today will allow for heat index
values between 95 to 103 degrees this afternoon, mainly near the
Tulsa metro area and in the Arkansas River Valley. Additionally,
isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast this
afternoon, particularly across northeast Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas. Some of these storms may produce strong to severe wind
gusts and hail, in additional to heavy rainfall. The highest
severe weather threat occurs northwest of Interstate 44 in
northeast Oklahoma, particularly in Osage, Pawnee, and Washington
counties.

Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Nearly daily storm chances will persist this week. The highest
potential for rainfall will be Monday and Tuesday. By the middle
to end of this week, increasing temperatures may result in
dangerous heat potential with heat indices of 95 to 105 degrees.
