Scattered thunderstorms will continue this afternoon and evening primarily along and south of Interstate 40. The strongest storms will be capable of damaging downburst winds and possibly hail up to quarter size. Locally heavy rainfall is also likely. Storms will slowly spread south and east through the afternoon and gradually wane after sunset. Hot and humid conditions will continue across southeast Oklahoma away from the ongoing storms. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. TUESDAY through SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. SUNDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Thunderstorm activity will become much less numerous Tuesday through the holiday weekend, but at least isolated storms will remain possible each day.
