This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Northeast Oklahoma.
ONSET...Primarily after midnight.

DANGEROUS HEAT.
RISK...Significant.
AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

    AREA AT GREATEST RISK...Northeast Oklahoma into west central
    Arkansas.

DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue this afternoon with heat
index values of 105 to 110 degrees common across much of eastern
Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Remember heat safety guidelines
with any outdoor activities.
Isolated thunderstorms may develop this afternoon across the
region but overall coverage is expected to be very low. Additional
showers and storms may spread into northeast Oklahoma late tonight
and persist into the morning Sunday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
SUNDAY...Thunderstorm and Dangerous Heat Potential.
MONDAY through FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will continue through Sunday. Afternoon
heat index values may approach 105 degrees across portions of
eastern Oklahoma and west central Arkansas Sunday afternoon, with
a decrease in heat index values by early next week. Thunderstorm
chances increase across the area Sunday night and continue into
next week. There will be potential for periods of heavy rainfall
and isolated severe weather through Tuesday.
