.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are expected to occur much of the upcoming
workweek. Well above normal afternoon temperatures and low dew
points will lead to minimum relative humidities in the 20 to 25
percent range in northeast Oklahoma both Monday and Tuesday. Low
shower and thunderstorm chances will accompany a progressive storm
system Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night. A more
substantial fire weather threat looks to develop on Friday, as a
potent storm system moves into the Plains. Although moisture will
increase across parts of the region and shower and thunderstorm
chances will exist ahead of the storm system, windy conditions
and much drier air will arrive behind a dryline passage Friday
afternoon. Confidence is increasing that near critical to locally
critical fire weather conditions exists Friday afternoon in parts
of northeast Oklahoma west of Highway 75 following the dryline
passage.
