At 842 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms over much of eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were
located in Haskell county in Oklahoma and Crawford county in
Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Tulsa area. The precipitation
was in the Fort Smith and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville
areas. Movement was to the northeast at greater than 40 mph. .
Intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for this morning, occasional showers and a chance of thunderstorms
with heavy rainfall and temperatures 53 to 60 degrees along with
northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
