At 842 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms over much of eastern Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were
located in Sequoyah and Haskell counties in Oklahoma and Crawford
county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the Tulsa and Fort
Smith areas. The precipitation was in the Bentonville, Rogers and
Fayetteville area. Movement was to the northeast at greater than 40
mph. . Coverage and intensity decreased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for this morning, occasional showers with
thunderstorms likely with heavy rainfall and temperatures 50 to 56
degrees along with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
