...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 PM CST
THIS EVENING FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND STRONG WINDS FOR ALL OF NORTH-
CENTRAL, NORTHEAST AND EAST-CENTRAL KANSAS...

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Red Flag
Warning for which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 8 PM
CST this evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 020,
  021, 022, 023, 024, 026, 034, 035, 036, 037, 038, 039, 040, 054,
  055, 056, 058 and 059.

* TIMING...From 10 AM this morning to 8 PM CST this evening.

* WINDS...Northwest winds sustained at 12 to 22 mph with gusts up
  to 35 mph north of Interstate 70, and gusts between 25 and 30
  mph south of Interstate 70.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops could catch and spread
  quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
