.DISCUSSION...
Southwesterly winds gusting upwards of 25-30 mph this
afternoon will combine with RH values dropping into
the low 40 percent range. Not expecting too many fire
concerns as RH values remain high, but if 1 hour fuel
loads can dry quickly, some efficient burning could
occur in fire during a few hours in the afternoon.
By Tuesday, weaker winds and higher afternoon RHs should
limit fire danger concern.
By the end of the week, a more potent system builds in
from the west that could cause fire concerns Thursday
and Friday. A cold front Thursday will bring gusty NW
winds (up to 30 MPH) and dry air by the afternoon. By
Friday, winds return back to the south/southwest with
diurnal mixing bringing 30 MPH gusts and dry air to
the surface. Both days will likely see elevated fire
conditions.
