Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
340 AM MDT Tue Jul 1 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Ridging aloft will bring hot, mostly dry days and mild nights
over the next 48 hours or so. Afternoon relative humidity values
will drop to critically low levels with moderate to poor overnight
recoveries, lowest at the mid- slopes. Aside from a few isolated
showers or storms over the far southern zones later this evening,
most of the activity will stay south of I90. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms expand northward to include all zones on Wednesday.
The strongest cells will be capable of strong, gusty winds, hail,
and brief downpours, especially east of I15.
