Fire Weather Planning Forecast for North-Central Montana
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
142 PM MDT Tue Jul 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Unsettled northwest flow aloft will bring continued chances for
showers and thunderstorms to all Fire Weather Zones through
Thursday afternoon, with Wednesday having the most widespread
coverage of showers and thunderstorms. Areal coverage of each
individual shower and thunderstorm through the period will be
relatively low; however, brief periods of heavy rainfall are
possible, especially on Wednesday. Chances for wetting rains from
Wednesday morning through Wednesday night range from 30-80%, with
a 20-50% chance than amounts exceed 0.25" over zones 113, 114,
115, and 117. Drier and much warmer conditions are then expected
from the weekend and into next week. - Moldan
