...FLOOD WARNING FOR AN ICE JAM IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM MST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Montana, including the following
  county, Madison.

* WHEN...Until 845 AM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Depending on
  ice behavior, any release of the ice jam could result in sudden
  rises of water, leading to a rapid flooding situation.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 848 AM MST, emergency management reported an ice jam near
    the warned area. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly.
  - River levels near the ice jam will be erratic as the ice
    shifts.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of North Central Madison County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away from ice jams! Ice jams can be unpredictable and can build
and release suddenly.
