Steady east-southeast winds will be in place today with occasional gusts reaching 15-20 mph at times throughout the afternoon hours. In addition, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorm could develop this afternoon and early evening with greatest rain chances from around 2-6 PM but any activity that develops should be rather brief. Otherwise, generally good dispersion conditions are expected today given the steady easterly transport winds that are expected. Conditions then deteriorate considerably on Wednesday as what is currently called Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine moves north and strengthens as it becomes Tropical Storm Helene later today. .REST OF TODAY...
