.DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon/evening (not
unlike the last couple days, but likely less intense). However,
rain chances increase for tomorrow and through the week as
tropical moisture streams across the area. Scattered to numerous
storms are expected Sunday through at least Wednesday, with
flooding being a significant concern. There is also now a high
chance that a tropical depression or tropical storm will now form
in the next 48 hours (70%) or in the next seven days (90%). The
system is then likely to strengthen and could become a hurricane
as it eastward towards Florida. There is an increasing risk of
dangerous storm surge and wind impacts, in addition to the threat
of heavy rainfall.

Soils are not particularly saturated at this time from heavy
rainfall. However it is difficult to account for soil saturation
due to storm surge. As rain falls over the next few days, soils
will become more saturated and flooding will be more likely.
