...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Florida...

  Peace River At Arcadia at SR 70 affecting DeSoto County.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Florida...

  Cypress Creek At SR 54 Worthington Gardens affecting Pasco County.

For the Cypress Creek...including SR 54 Worthington Gardens...Minor
flooding is forecast.
For the Peace...including Bartow, Zolfo Springs at SR 17, Arcadia at
SR 70...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Peace River at Arcadia at SR 70.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Access roads to river acres become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:30 PM EDT Wednesday was 11.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    late tonight and continue falling to 8.0 feet Monday evening.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    11.1 feet on 09/14/2003.

  State Road 54.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 9.3 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 9:00 PM EDT Wednesday was 9.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 8.5 feet Saturday
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    9.3 feet on 10/09/1975.
