Important notice to mariners...marine forecasts are issued at least four times a day. The wave heights are forecast as significant wave height which is the average of the highest one-third of the waves. The highest waves may rarely be twice the significant wave height. Scattered showers and a few storms will continue to linger over the coastal waters this morning, then storms will develop over the land areas this afternoon and shift west into the Gulf at times during the afternoon and evening.
