A high risk of rip currents is in effect for the Bay, Walton, and Gulf County beaches through Friday night. Southwesterly onshore winds will be enhanced each day by the seabreeze, in conjunction with a 6-second wave period, supporting the high risk of rip currents which may need to be extended into Saturday. Meanwhile, the Franklin County beaches have a moderate risk of rip currents. Looking ahead to Sunday and Monday, southwest winds and the wave period are expected to decrease enough to support a moderate risk of rip currents at all of the Gulf beaches.
