Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
1139 AM EDT Sun Aug 10 2025

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Gentle to occasionally moderate easterly breezes will maintain a
moderate risk of rip currents today at all local beaches. Surf heights
at or near 2 ft are possible for St George Island based on the latest
West Tampa Buoy observational trends. East to southeast onshore flow
may sharpen enough to heighten the risk on Monday as a tropical wave
pushes westward across the Northern Gulf. Winds gradually then shift
out of the south mid-week, then more southwesterly late week.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Yellow
Bay...........................Yellow
State Park Gulf Beaches.......Yellow
West Facing Gulf Beaches......Yellow
