* WHAT...For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low
  as 19 expected. For the Freeze Warning, a hard freeze as low as 24
  expected.

* WHERE...In Alabama, Henry County. In Georgia, Calhoun, Clay,
  Quitman, Randolph, and Terrell Counties.

* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 2 AM EST /1 AM CST/ to
  9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Wednesday. For the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM
  EST /2 AM CST/ to 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
  exposure. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes
they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those
that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover
above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
