076 FNUS72 KTAE 281339 FWSTAE Spot Forecast for JC 14...Florida Forest Service National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 839 AM EST Fri Feb 28 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 0900 EST on February 28. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. Please contact our office at (850) 942-8833, if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. ...LOW DISPERSIONS THIS MORNING, IMPROVING THIS AFTERNOON... .DISCUSSION... Light, less than 5 mph, northeasterly winds will prevail at the burn site through the morning hours but as conditions warm and mixing heights increase, expect wind directions to become variable and lighter by 11am or noon. As further mixing and warming develops, westerly winds will develop at the site in the early afternoon hours. By 2 or 3pm local time expect a seabreeze to develop and move across the burn site which will bring an increase in winds and a change of direction out of the southwest. Minimum relative humidities around 23% are forecast but if conditions warm more than forecast and the seabreeze takes longer to develop, minimum relative humidities could drop as low as 20% at the site. Transport winds will be light and northeasterly in the morning but eventually become steadily westerly as mixing heights increase through the day. This will keep dispersions fairly poor until the afternoon when stronger winds allow dispersions to increase to fair values. Patchy fog is possible tonight, but confidence and probabilities were too low to mention in the forecast table below. Stronger winds are forecast at the burn site Saturday, but they should still remain below critical values and minimum humidities are forecast to be higher on Saturday. .REST OF TODAY...
