996 FNUS72 KTAE 091538 FWSTAE Spot Forecast for Thompson house Wakulla Pile Burn...USFWS National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 1138 AM EDT Wed Jul 9 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1200 EDT on July 09. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. Please contact our office at (850) 942-8833, if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... Light northwest to west flow this morning should become westerly through the afternoon at the burn site. Similar to the past few days, scattered shower and storm activity is possible at the burn site. Most activity, if it affects the site, would be after 12p local time. Thunderstorms could bring gusty and erratic winds. Westerly flow today will likely keep the seabreeze pinned closer to the coast but because westerly flow is relatively weak, we can`t rule out a slight uptick in a southwesterly wind component if the seabreeze potentially moves near or through the site later in the afternoon. Some shower and storm activity could continue into the late afternoon hours but most storm activity should be finished up or have moved inland by the early evening hours. Light and variable winds expected tonight with relative humidity recoveries to around 90%. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (70-80 percent).
