...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Georgia...

  Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84) affecting Lowndes and
  Brooks Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued Wednesday morning at 800 AM EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SATURDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Withlacoochee River near Quitman (US 84).

* WHEN...Until Saturday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 111.0 feet, Water approaches the elevation of the
  road surface along US Highway 84 as well as the Clyattville Nankin
  road bridge further downstream. Wastewater treatment plant on
  Wetherington Lane begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1:15 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 109.9 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 1:15 PM EDT Tuesday was 109.9 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 110.7
    feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
    flood stage Saturday morning.
  - Flood stage is 104.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    110.9 feet on 04/05/2016.
