The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of southwest Georgia,
including the following area, Quitman.

Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT /515 PM CDT/
THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Alabama, including the following
  counties, Henry and Houston and southwest Georgia, including the
  following counties, Calhoun, Clay, Early, Randolph and Terrell.

* WHEN...Until 615 PM EDT /515 PM CDT/.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 409 PM EDT /309 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
    rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and
    6 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Fort Gaines, Blakely, Cuthbert, Edison, Webb, Shellman,
    Columbia, Kinsey, Bellville, Bluffton, Haleburg, Zetto,
    Harrisons Mill, Ferrell Crossroads, Kolomoki Mounds Sp, Jones
    Crossing, Pecan, Colomokee, Suttons Corner and Hayes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
