...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Georgia, including the following
  counties, Calhoun, Clay, Lee, Quitman, Randolph and Terrell.

* WHEN...Until 830 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or
  other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 636 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Dawson, Cuthbert, Edison, Shellman, Sasser, Bronwood, Martins
    Crossroads, Pachitla, Graves, Doverel, Goffs Mill, Aycock
    Mill, Fountain Bridge, Brooksville, Shivers Mill, Yeomans,
    Clarks Mill, Herod, Wades and Oakville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
