High pressure will be draped across the northeast Gulf waters through Saturday featuring light winds and slight chances for offshore showers and storms. A cold front will reach the coastal late this weekend, shunting high pressure to the east. The front stalls in the Gulf waters with increased chances for thunderstorms in the Gulf waters and coastal areas into the next work week.
