...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING ABOVE 3000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Heaviest snow accumulations between 4
  and 12 inches, up to 1 to 2 feet across highest peaks. Winds could
  gust as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Burney Basin / Eastern Shasta County, Mountains
  Southwestern Shasta County to Western Colusa County, and Shasta
  Lake Area / Northern Shasta County Counties.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions with chain controls and road
  closures possible. Low visibility due to combination of wind and
  heavy snow expected. Hazardous conditions will impact the morning
  and afternoon commutes on Wednesday and Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest period of snow expected Wednesday
  morning to early afternoon

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible Above 4000 feet. Total snow
  accumulations between 9 and 47 inches possible. Winds could gust
  as high as 65 mph.

* WHERE...West Slope Northern Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas
  County/Lassen Park Counties.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening through Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and
  evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree
  damage.
