.DISCUSSION...A cold, dry, and stable airmass will settle into the
area today as high pressure builds in from the north. This will
result in lower clearing indices of below 200 at the burn site today.
The next storm system will quickly drop into the area tomorrow
night through Thursday from the north. This storm will contain
little in the way of moisture, and as a result, precipitation is
not expected. However, gusty northerly winds will be the case once
gain, especially late tonight through the daytime hours on
Thursday. This will aid increased mixing and clearing indices
above 500 for Thursday. Longer term, it does not look good for
receiving moisture at the burn site. The next storm system,
arriving for the weekend, will impact primarily northern and
central Utah.
