.DISCUSSION...A monsoon surge will bring the threat of thunderstorms
to the Festival through Thursday. The highest threat time of
thunderstorms will be from 1200 to 2100 each day. Wind gusts in
excess of 45 mph are possible with these thunderstorms as well as
heavy rain. Temperatures will be a bit cooler today but will still
expose participants to heat risk, particularly those who are more
sensitive including children, the elderly, and those with chronic
health conditions.

.TODAY...

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (50-60 percent cloud cover).
                    Chance of showers and thunderstorms in the
                    afternoon.
Chance of pcpn......50 percent.
Chance of lightning.35 percent, primarily after 1200.
Max temperature.....94-96.
Surface winds (mph).Northeast winds 3-8 mph becoming west in the
                    late morning and early afternoon, then becoming
                    southeast 5-10 mph late in the afternoon.

.TONIGHT...

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (60-70 percent cloud cover) then
                    becoming mostly cloudy (75-85 percent cloud
                    cover). Slight chance of thunderstorms early in
                    the evening. Chance of showers in the evening,
                    then slight chance of showers overnight.
Chance of pcpn......50 percent.
Chance of lightning.30 percent primarily prior to midnight.
Min temperature.....65-67.
Surface winds (mph).Northeast winds 3-8 mph.

.THURSDAY...

Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy (60-70 percent cloud cover).
                    Chance of showers through the day. Slight
                    chance of thunderstorms late in the morning,
                    then chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Chance of lightning.35 percent, primarily after 1200.
