.DISCUSSION...A winter storm begins to wrap up across Utah through the day
on Friday, with the highest chances for snowfall existing through
the morning hours. That said, chances for snowfall will be
generally less than 50 percent through the morning, dropping to
less than 25% during the late afternoon and evening. If persistent
snow occurs, total accumulations are expected to be around 1.5
inches or less.

Aside from the snow potential, colder temperatures filter into
the area through the overnight hours, leading to colder daytime
temperatures tomorrow (about 3-4 degrees cooler) over the SAR
area. During the day on Friday, winds will be out of a
northwesterly direction with gusts upwards of 20-25 mph. Combining
the winds and the colder temperatures will bring wind chills down
into the mid-to-upper teens in the morning and into the low 20s
during the afternoon.

Conditions stabilize through the morning on Saturday, leading to
largely clear skies during the afternoon hours. Additionally, the
airmass will warm up by about 5-10 degrees as the colder airmass
shifts out of the area.
