.DISCUSSION...Widely scattered showers with a few thunderstorms
continue this evening. As of this writing, a storm near Ephraim is
moving northeast toward the fire. There is a low (20-30 percent)
chance of this storm holding together and moving over the fire in
the next 60-90 minutes. The main threats with this storm will be
gusty and erratic winds, lightning, and brief heavy rain.
Additional showers will develop during the early morning, most
likely between 3am and 5am and lasting for much of the morning.
The majority of these showers are expected to be north of the
fire, but there is a 30 percent chance of a storm impacting the
fire tomorrow morning. Showers and thunderstorms will become more
widespread in coverage tomorrow afternoon ahead of an approaching
storm system, bringing a greater threat of gusty winds and wetting
rainfall. Storms will tend to diminish tomorrow evening, with
drier air moving in, at least temporarily, for Saturday.
