.DISCUSSION...
Dry conditions today with southerly winds gusting in the upper
teens will persist into early this evening. Winds will diminish
tonight with RH`s following similar recovery to last night into
the mid/upper 50 percent range. On Friday, an approaching storm
system to the west of the burn site will result in noticably
stronger winds on Friday. Winds will increase more quickly than
normal Friday morning, and but still peaking in the afternoon wind
gusts to around 35 mph. However, RH will trend higher on Friday
as moisture is brought into the region ahead of the approaching
storm system. The other consequence is that good/excellent
clearing indicies today will be excellent on Friday given both
higher mixing heights and stronger winds. Any snow from the storm
system will likley hold off until Saturday.
