Lighter snow showers will gradually taper off behind the front into the overnight hours. Rates around time of frontal passage will likely exceed 1 inch per hour, and storm total snowfall currently is in the 9 to 13 inch range (around 0.7 to 1.1 inches of water equivalent). Ahead of the front, southwest winds will likely gust in the 45-55 mph range, with around a 30% chance of gusts in excess of 60 mph. Winds will quickly shift northwesterly following frontal passage, and gradually diminish in magnitude. By Saturday, drier air will largely preclude precipitation chances, though around a 10-20% chance of light snow showers remains.
