...BECOMING INCREASINGLY HOT EARLY THIS WEEK...

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Under the influence of high pressure, Utah
will see dry and increasingly hot conditions through midweek.

.DISCUSSION...High pressure over the Desert Southwest will build
over Utah for the first half of the week, resulting in dry and
increasingly hot conditions. High temperatures are expected to run
up to 10F above seasonal normals by Wednesday. Winds are expected
to remain generally light, but as a Pacific trough edges toward
the California coast Tuesday into Wednesday, there is a chance of
winds becoming strong enough in some areas to produce isolated
critical fire weather conditions, primarily over western Utah.
That trough is expected to cross the area Wednesday into Thursday
as it weakens, producing little in the way of impacts. The hot and
dry conditions will then continue for the latter half of the
upcoming week.
