...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MONA PASSAGE...

The Doppler radar indicated a line of strong thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and frequent
lightning. These thunderstorms were located over the Mona Passage,
moving east at 15 knots. These thunderstorms will move over the
western coastal waters of Puerto Rico and across the offshore
Caribbean waters through the morning hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
