523 AM AST Tue Jul 8 2025

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Puerto Rico.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

.Lightning...Isolated thunderstorms, particularly across
northwestern Puerto Rico, and briefly across northeastern Puerto
Rico. Stay alert and be prepared to take shelter if storms
develop.

.Excessive Rainfall...Ponding of water in roads and poorly
drained areas, particularly across northwestern and eastern PR.
There is a low chance of localized urban and small streams
flooding.

.Excessive Heat...This level of heat affects primarily those
individuals extremely sensitive to heat, especially when outdoors
without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. These
conditions are most likely across most urban and lower elevations
of the islands.

.Wind...Breezy to Windy conditions (23-33 kts | 26-38 mph), with
the greatest risk across north-central to northwestern Puerto Rico.
Outdoor items could blow around or be damaged.

.Marine Conditions...Small craft should exercise caution,
particularly across all Atlantic and Caribbean waters due to seas
up to 6 feet and winds between 18-25 kts.

.Rip Currents...Life-threatening rip currents are possible in the
surf zone, particularly across the north, east, and southern
beaches of the islands. Isolated stronger rip currents may occur
elsewhere, especially near piers, jetties, and channels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

A limited to an elevated heat threat is expected through the rest
of the workweek. A moderate risk of rip currents will continue
across the northern, eastern and southeastern beaches from Wednesday
onward. Breezy to windy conditions will result in choppy wind
driven seas and hazardous marine conditions for small craft
operators.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is encouraged. Please relay any information
about flooding, winds, waves, and rip currents to the National
Weather Service in San Juan.
