.DISCUSSION...
A slot of drier air will move in during the peak hours of the day,
leading to a quick drop in RH across the southern coastal plains,
where values may briefly near or slip below local thresholds.
Easterly to east-southeasterly winds of 12 to 18 mph, with sea-
breeze gusts around 20 to 25 mph, will resemble yesterdays pattern.
Passing morning showers and isolated afternoon convection over the
interior and west will offer only limited moisture recovery. KBDI
values remain well below critical levels, and soil moisture, crop
stress, and 30-day percent-of-normal data all continue to indicate
that fuels are not critically dry on an areawide scale.
As a result, the fire weather threat remains overall low, with only
a localized elevated risk confined to the southern coastal plains
during peak heating.
