.DISCUSSION...
Steering winds from the east to northeast will favor afternoon
shower development over southwestern Puerto Rico. Therefore,
relative humidities should not drop significantly across the
south-southwest coastal plains. The KBDI remains low except in
Cabo Rojo (424) and Guanica (577). Nevertheless, the 10-hour fuel
moisture was above 10 percent across all RAWS sites. Wind speeds
should not exceed critical fire weather thresholds today, but
gusts higher than 15 mph are expected across the southern coast of
Puerto Rico. In general, a low fire danger continues across the
area.
