Survey Summary:
A severe thunderstorm developed across northwest portions of
Runnels County early Thursday morning and moved northeast along
US Highway 83 into southern portions of Taylor County. The storm
then moved eastward across Lawn, Texas near US Highway 84. The
rear flank downdraft associated with the storm, produced straight-
line winds which damaged a metal barn, several trees, and flipped
an air condition compressor on the side of a home near US Highway
84. In addition, roof shingles on a home near CR 145 and CR 166
were torn off and damage to the roof of a large extended patio
deck to the main residence of a local ranch near FM 496.
