The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Haskell County in west central Texas...
  Throckmorton County in west central Texas...

* Until 900 AM CDT.

* At 547 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Stamford, Throckmorton, Woodson, Lake Stamford Marina, Elbert, The
  Intersection Of Us-380 And Highway 222, The Intersection Of Us-183
  And Us-283, The Intersection Of Us-283 And Ranch Road 209 and Lusk.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
lake crossing Kings Creek, crossings along County Road 374,
crossings along County Road 376, crossings along County Road 334 and
Hill crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
