...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN TOM GREEN COUNTY...

At 957 PM CDT, Radar continujed to indicate thunderstorms with very
heavy rain from just east of Grape Creek across north central Tom
Green County to just south of Orient. A Mesonet site 7 miles
northwest of San Angelo has received 4.37 inches of rainfall since 8
PM. Flooding has been reported in Grape Creek and on FM 2288 near
and just south of Grape Creek. Flash flooding is likely ongoing,.and
additional half to one inch of rain is likely through 1045 PM.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Grape Creek and Orient.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Walnut Drove crossing Grape Creek and Swain crossing Red Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
