.KEY MESSAGES...

- Warm and dry conditions will persist for the upcoming week,
  with above normal temperatures continuing.

&&

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Tuesday)
Issued at 1227 PM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

Upper-level high pressure will remain the dominant feature across
the region, keeping warm and drier conditions in the forecast
through Tuesday. Overnight lows tonight will fall into the upper
50s to mid 60s, and high temperatures for Monday are expected to
remain in the mid 80s to lower 90s. Expect breezy south to
southeasterly winds through this evening, with some gusts as high
as 20 mph. Winds will become light and variable overnight then
pick back up from the southeast around 5 to 10 MPH through Monday
morning.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday through Sunday)
Issued at 1235 AM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

Upper level ridging will remain in control through Wednesday. By
Thursday and Friday the center of the ridge axis begins to move
off to the east in response to a deepening upper level trough
over the Intermountain West and Four Corners. This will result in
more of a west- southwest flow aloft. By next weekend, there is
some disagreement amongst operational models and ensembles on the
evolution of a secondary upper level trough over the southwestern
U.S. and any subsequent rain chances. Given the uncertainty this
far out will keep a dry forecast in place with the exception of
the far southeastern portions of our forecast area. Otherwise,
the unseasonably warm conditions will persist into this weekend.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1148 AM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

VFR conditions are expected across all terminals through the next
24 hours, with breezy winds developing through this afternoon and
early evening from the south-southeast. Gusts will likely remain
around or below 20 knots through this evening, before light and
variable winds take over during the overnight period. Winds will
begin to increase from the southeast again Monday morning.
