.SHORT TERM...
(Today and tonight)
Issued at 156 AM CDT Tue Oct 14 2025

High pressure will continue redeveloping across the State of
Texas today. This will largely result in warm and dry conditions
persisting across our area. Highs are forecast to be in the upper
80s to lower 90s. Expect winds to be much lower than yesterday as
southeast winds will be sustained at 5 to 10 MPH.

&&

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday through Monday)
Issued at 1244 AM CDT Tue Oct 14 2025

Upper level ridging will remain in control through Wednesday. By
Thursday and Friday the center of the ridge axis begins to move
off to the east in response to a deepening upper level trough
over the Intermountain West and Four Corners. Over the weekend,
models swing an upper level trough and attendant Pacific front
through the forecast area. QPF fields, however, are light with the
best chance of any measurable rainfall right now across our
southeastern counties. Otherwise, the front will not have an
appreciable impact on temperatures. Conditions overall will
continue to be unseasonably warm and dry through the long term.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)
Issued at 552 AM CDT Tue Oct 14 2025

ASOS observations across KJCT, and areas near there, are
indicating some MVFR levels as of 11z this morning. These ceiling
of about 1800 ft should dissipate quickly after sunrise. It will
be a close call if they develop far enough north to affect KSJT
and KBBD. However, it appears that it would be a brief and
intermittent occurrence if it does, and is most likely to occur
between 12z and 14z.
