...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MCCURTAIN COUNTY
THROUGH 545 AM CDT...
At 454 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northeast of Manchester, or 23 miles north of Clarksville,
moving north at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Farmers Hill, Millerton, Watson, Battiest, Pickens, Mount Herman,
Sherwood, Redland, Wright City, Glover, Garvin, Valliant, Slim,
Bethel, Ringold, Golden, and Oak Hill.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for
southeastern Oklahoma.
