.DISCUSSION...
Weak high pressure remains over our Four-State area allowing the
NE winds to persist. This is keeping the afternoon min RH below
average for another day in the 30% range, but will trend slightly
higher into the new week. A second surge of high pressure will be
arriving overnight and into Monday reinforcing the dry NE winds.
However, and upper level disturbance will slide down off of the
front range, across the plains and spread rain showers and some
thunderstorms with heating primarily on Tuesday. A few showers
will likely arrive in our I-30 corridor overnight Monday and
linger there on Wednesday as well as parts of east Texas. Overall
not much rainfall as the NE have us a little to dry, but later in
the work week we will see SE winds and some better coverage of
thunderstorms as another frontal boundary pools the Gulf moisture
over our neck of the woods. Temperatures will be hot again this
afternoon and on Monday too, but trend downward to below average
for mid to late week as rainfall and clouds remains in the
offing, perhaps through the holiday weekend.
