.DISCUSSION...
Arctic high pressure has filtered down over all of our Four-State
area overnight. We will keep the gusty NW winds into the afternoon
hours with much colder air in place. Highs today will keep to the
mid to upper 30s with a few low 40s south. Bitter cold overnight
as the winds veer to N/NE and slack gusts by sunset and even
speeds overnight. This will set up a frigid start to the work
week with teens and low 20s. Highs will remain well below averages
with 30s for highs again Monday and Tuesday especially. As
secondary high pressure spreads down the MS River Valley, an upper
disturbance will work with an inverted trough on the coast to
bring clouds during Monday, and snow showers overnight and into
much of Tuesday. Our southern most zones and districts will sport
the best chance for accumulations. Slow warm up mid to late week.
