remnants of Tropical Cyclone Priscilla will be pulled into the southwestern United States, increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms. The greater chances for heavier rainfall are from the mountains of San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego Counties eastward into the deserts with lesser chances for areas west of the mountains. Higher-resolution model guidance shows bands of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms moving northwestward across the area on Thursday morning with higher chances for showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon more focused over the mountains eastward across the deserts. Chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue at times through Friday into early Saturday morning. Rainfall rates west of the mountains will mainly be 0.10-0.25 inches per hour. For the mountains and deserts rainfall rates will be 0.50-1 inch per hour. There are small chances (5%) of rainfall rates locally exceeding 1 inch per hour. $$ CO
